How does it work?
Do you wish to learn garageband and become a skilled music producer? At Jan Smith Studios, we’re here to guide you and help you produce, edit, and refine your music confidently and creatively. We offer expert garageband music lessons to enhance your music production skills, help you master the software, and create amazing music.
In our garageband training, we provide professional, easy-to-follow lessons that are designed for all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced user looking to expand your knowledge, our expert instructors will teach you how to use garageband effectively. From recording tracks and adding loops to mixing and mastering your music, we’ll help you build your confidence and skills so you can produce your tracks like a pro with our expert garageband classes.

Reserves a total of 4 thirty-minute lessons per month, scheduled once a week on the same day and time with an associate coach. Vocal evaluation required. (Does not apply to Mama Jan’s schedule)

What will I learn from GarageBand music lessons?
You will learn everything from the basics to advanced techniques. Beginners will start by recording audio, adding loops, and editing tracks. Intermediate learners will dive into MIDI, mixing, and mastering. Advanced students can focus on mastering sound design, using virtual instruments, and perfecting their music production skills.
How long does it take to get good at GarageBand?
The time it takes to become proficient at GarageBand depends on your dedication and practice. Some students see improvement quickly, while others take longer to become comfortable with all the features. With regular practice, you’ll improve steadily.
Can you help me learn to produce specific types of music during my GarageBand training?
Absolutely! Whether you’re into pop, rock, hip-hop, electronic, or any other genre, we can help you learn how to create your unique sound in GarageBand. We’ll guide you on how to use loops, virtual instruments, and effects to match the style you want.
Do you offer a GarageBand online course?
Yes! We offer online GarageBand training courses for students who prefer to learn from the comfort of their home, but that depends on the individual’s unique experience, coaching needs, and availability.
What if I miss a lesson?
If you miss a lesson, payment is still expected in full. Please let us know in advance if you cannot attend, but please note that we do not reschedule or offer make-up lessons. Our instructors are paid for their time and expertise; no refunds are available for missed classes.
Do you provide any learning materials?
Yes! We provide instructional materials such as guides, worksheets, and practice exercises to help reinforce what you learn in class. You will also receive helpful tips and techniques to continue improving your skills.
